A very merry meeting of Elizabethan Lodge last night as nearly 100 masons, their partners, and friends gathered in the temple room of Bath’s own Old Theatre Royal to celebrate our annual festive White Table event!
Amidst many courses of traditional Christmas fayre – expertly prepared and delivered by the Hall’s very dedicated and much-appreciated catering staff – carols were sung, toasts were given, and the assembled brethren and their guests had a rip-roaring time singing along and bobbing up and down to ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas’ and other seasonal standards.
So full was the usually-quite-spacious temple room, that the old theatre’s stage had to be requisitioned to accommodate the Master’s table for him and his guests! The entertainment for the evening came in the form of live music from a wonderful duo called Christmas Mix Tape, while a Christmas raffle and other fun and games raised a total of £643.51, all of which will be donated to charity.
The WM Paul Mallon reports a mailbox full to bursting this morning with gushing reviews and messages from guests and visitors thanking the lodge for the invite, the wonderful night, and for putting them into the festive spirit – that’s what we like to hear! We’d like to thank everyone involved in the organisation and all attendees, and we wish you all a very Merry Christmas on behalf of Elizabethan Lodge.
