The 101st Meeting of Somerset Masters Lodge 3746, was held at Nailsea Masonic Hall on Monday 29th February 2016, where the Worshipful Master, W Bro Pat Morrisey PGStdB installed, as his successor W Bro Paul Cooper PPJGW in front of a packed Lodge Room.
107 Members of the Lodge were present, including the Provincial Grand Master R W Bro Stuart Hadler and the Past Provincial Grand Master R W Bro David Jenkins both Past Masters of the Lodge along with V W Bro John Winston the Deputy Provincial Grand Master. The Ceremony of Installation was carried out in a very capable and sincere way by W Bro Morrisey following which W Bro Cooper then Invested his Officers in the usual manner.
Both of the Current Provincial Grand Wardens were also present at the Meeting and the Provincial Senior Grand Warden, W Bro Neil Hawes along with the Provincial Junior Grand Warden, W Bro Steve Merryweather gave the Address to the Worshipful Master and the Address to the Wardens respectively
As is the usual custom in Somerset Masters Lodge the newly installed Worshipful Master then presented a paper to the Lodge entitled “The Masonic and Military Order of the Red Cross of Constantine”. W Bro Cooper is the Past Intendant General of that Order in Somerset and his excellent paper was very well received by all those present.
The next Meeting of the Lodge will take place at Taunton Masonic Hall on Friday 28th October 2016
